In the field of graphic arts, there are those who see themselves as fine artists. They value the creative over the functional and tend to live in ivory towers and price their work as if it was etched by Picasso himself. I take a much more problematic approach to design. I consider myself a service worker, in line with a plumber or electrician. I simply assist in framing the message and prepare it for delivery to the intended audience. I value technical proficiency equal to creativity. I wish to raise the bar of design for everyone, making quality design more accessible and affordable.
